1. Who operates this service
Recall Index and therecallguy.com are operated by de Lacey Ventures LLC, a Texas limited liability company. This notice explains how we handle personal data when you use the service or contact us.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Alert preferences: an email address and any category, state, or keyword filters you submit. Alert delivery is not active in Phase 1, but the preference is stored.
- Messages: your email address, message, attachments, and related email metadata when you contact us.
Information processed automatically
Cloudflare hosts the service and may process technical request data such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, security signals, and diagnostic logs. We use this information to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the service.
Some official product images are loaded from agency or agency-linked hosts. Those hosts may receive ordinary request information when your browser loads an image. Following an official-source link takes you to a separate website governed by its own privacy practices.
3. How we use information
- Store and administer recall alert preferences.
- Answer questions and review correction, privacy, or accessibility requests.
- Operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service.
- Comply with law and protect users, the service, and our rights.
We do not currently send alert emails, use personal data for targeted advertising, or sell personal data.
4. When information is disclosed
Information may be processed by service providers that help us host, secure, store, or communicate about the service, including Cloudflare. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, investigate abuse, protect safety or rights, or support a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Cookies and similar technology
The current service does not set advertising cookies. Our hosting and security provider may use technical mechanisms needed to deliver and protect the service. If analytics or advertising technology is added later, this notice will be updated before it is used where required.
6. Retention and security
We retain personal data only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, to meet legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Retention varies by the type of record and provider configuration. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data you provided, or raise a concern about its use. Applicable law may provide additional rights. Email contact@therecallguy.com with the subject “Privacy request.” We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required or permitted by law.
8. Children
The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit an email address or other personal data.
9. Changes and contact
